Sip & Stitch Workshop @ Spoiled Dog Winery - Pet Portraits
Join us for Sip and Stitch at Spoiled Dog Winery!
A MODERN EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP + WINE
October 13th from 4-7pm at Spoiled Dog Winery
Remember your grandma's embroidery? Well, it's back with a modern and adorable twist! Learn this timeless art and create a beautiful portrait of your pet. We'll create the design using your pets photo and teach you how to stitch it!
You will learn basic embroidery stitches along with tips and tricks to create your own artwork. Embroidery supplies are provided along with one glass of wine (additional glasses are available for purchase). During the workshop, you will receive step-by-step instructions for basic stitches, a stitching sampler to practice on, and a full kit with all the materials needed to create your own personalized six inch pet portrait.
This workshop is perfect for all levels, from crafty people to those who have never picked up a needle and floss.
After purchasing your ticket please email a photo of your pet to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include any design notes about favorite colors and embellishments (florals, bow-ties, tennis balls, pet's name, etc) that you'd like included. We will be creating the design for your custom pet portrait before the workshop so you can focus on the stitching.
You will begin stitching your six inch custom designed pet portrait. All materials required will be included as part of your purchase to take home. Additional kits will be available at the end of the workshop for purchase if desired.
During the workshop you will learn all the skills needed to complete the project. Stitching should be done at a comfortable and personal pace so some of the project may need to be completed at home.
In addition to stitching instructions, we will discuss other embroidery topics such as: transferring patterns to fabric, embroidery supplies, and finishing techniques to frame your artwork.
